our storyScouts BSA Troop 404 was founded and chartered in April 2004—hence the number “404”—by a small group of dedicated families in Colorado Springs. What began as a close-knit, family-oriented troop of just eight Scouts has grown over the years, at times reaching more than 40 active members across all Scout ranks. Our registered leaders bring many years of Scouting experience, guiding youth in camping, hiking, rank advancement, merit badge achievement, and meaningful community service projects. Troop 404 continues to foster a spirit of adventure, leadership, and camaraderie in every Scout.

Who we areTroop 404 serves boys in northern Colorado Springs as part of the Pathway to the Rockies Council. Our Scouts come from a variety of schools across the area, including public, private, and homeschool settings. A dedicated team of parents and community volunteers supports the troop by serving on the Troop Committee and as Assistant Scoutmasters. Many of our Assistant Scoutmasters—and our Scoutmaster himself—are Eagle Scouts, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the program. Together, they help guide Scouts through their journey of growth, leadership, and adventure.
